NM Torque Wrench

An NM Torque wrench is an electricity-operated torque wrench that can apply a specified torque without effort from the operator. It contains a planetary torque multiplier or a gearbox. A reaction device that absorbs the torque rather than the tool operator.

Torque coefficient and friction coefficient are two important parameters in the installation of the fastener connection pair. The two are related and different. They reflect the torque value in the installation of high-strength fasteners from different sides. The torque method is easy to understand and easy to operate. In the elastic range, the torque value has a linear relationship with the preload. After the torque coefficient is determined, the specific installation torque of the connection pair can be calculated; and the friction coefficient can specifically reflect the bearing surface The value of friction and thread friction, their relationship with each other, and the specific distribution value of torque.

Fasteners are installed by the torque method, which is intuitive, simple and easy to operate; the friction coefficient is used to determine the installation torque, the value is accurate, and the installation reliability is relatively strong.

Torque is rotational force and can be measured in inch-pounds (in-lb), foot-pounds (ft-lb) or, most commonly, in Newton-meters (N.m).  When you tighten a threaded fastener, it creates tension which holds the joint together.
