Chaoma Intercity—Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge

The Jiangnan section of the Chaoma Intercity Railway (including the Maanshan Yangtze River Railway Bridge) starts from Chaohu Lake to the end of the Jiangbei section of the Maanshan Intercity Railway, passes through the newly built Maanshan Yangtze River Railway Bridge, and ends at Ma'anshan South Station. The main line is 13.367 kilometers long. Simultaneously, a 11.742-kilometer connection line from Ma'anshan South Station to Ning'an Intercity Railway Ma'an East Station will be built, and a 1.404-kilometer upward diversion line will be built. The bridge is designed according to the standard of four-line railway and two-way six-lane urban road, and the joint construction section is 9.799 kilometers long. Among them, the main navigable bridge on the left branch of the Yangtze River adopts a three-tower steel truss cable-stayed bridge with a main span of (2×1120) meters and a total length of 3360 meters. The cable-stayed bridge with the longest joint length and the highest tower height. The estimated total investment of the Jiangnan section is 16.435 billion yuan, and the total investment of the whole line is 25.344 billion yuan. The construction period is 5 years. After completion, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Corporation will be entrusted with the operation and management.

The Ma'anshan Highway-Railway Yangtze River Bridge is a control project for the newly built Chaoma Intercity Railway. It is the world's first three-tower cable-stayed bridge with a single span of over 1,000 meters. Pulling the bridge will create 7 world records after completion.
