Common failures of electric torque wrench camshafts include abnormal wear,abnormal sound,and fracture.Abnormal wear and tear often occur before abnormal noise and fracture occur.
(1) The electric torque wrench camshaft is located almost at the end of the engine lubrication system,so the lubrication situation is not optimistic.If the oil pump has insufficient supply pressure due to excessive use time,etc.,or the lubricating oil passage is blocked,the lubricating oil cannot reach the camshaft of the electric torque wrench,or the tightening torque of the bearing cap fastening bolt is too large,and the lubricating oil cannot enter the electric torque wrench The camshaft clearance ‚can all cause abnormal wear of the camshaft of the electric torque wrench.
(2) The abnormal wear of the camshaft of the electric torque wrench will cause the gap between the camshaft of the electric torque wrench and the bearing seat to increase.When the camshaft of the electric torque wrench moves,an axial displacement occurs,resulting in abnormal noise.Abnormal wear also causes the gap between the drive cam and the hydraulic tappet to increase.When the cam is combined with the hydraulic tappet,an impact will occur,resulting in an abnormal noise.
(3) Severe failures such as breakage of the electric torque wrench camshaft sometimes occur.Common causes include hydraulic tappet fragmentation or severe wear,severe poor lubrication,poor quality of the electric torque wrench camshaft,and electric torque wrench camshaft timing gear rupture.Wait.
(4) In some cases,the failure of the camshaft of the electric torque wrench is caused by human reasons,especially when the camshaft of the electric torque wrench is not properly disassembled when servicing the engine.For example,when disassembling the electric torque wrench camshaft bearing cover,use a hammer to strike strongly or use a screwdriver to pry the pressure,or install the bearing cover in the wrong position,so the bearing cover does not match the bearing seat,or the tightening torque of the bearing cover fastening bolt is too large,etc..
