Suspension Bridge

Suspension bridge, also known as suspension bridge, is a cable load-bearing bridge composed of pylons, anchors, suspenders and deck structures (stiffened beams) with suspension cables (large cables) as the main load-bearing structure. Made of steel wire, it is currently the bridge structure with the largest spanning capacity.

The history of the development of suspension bridges in the world.
The development of suspension bridges can be roughly divided into: ancient suspension bridges (before the 14th century AD), modern suspension bridges (14th century AD to 1945), and modern suspension bridges (1945~).
Ancient suspension bridges are represented by China, and ancient Chinese suspension bridges are the prototype of suspension bridges.

The modern suspension bridge is divided into two stages. Before 1883, it was the foundation laying period, and the period from 1883 to 1945 was the development period. The development of modern suspension bridges has benefited from two major achievements: one is the construction of Brooklyn Bridge, which has perfected the system and structure of modern and modern suspension bridges; the other is the emergence of deflection theory, which has made the suspension bridge lighter and has a qualitative span. leap.

In 1950, the wind resistance of bridges began to receive attention, and suspension bridges entered the modern development stage. In 1966, the Severn Bridge built in the UK used flat streamlined steel box girder instead of truss girder for the first time, which became the mainstream of the later development of suspension bridges.

Made in China-world-class suspension bridge
In 1995, the Shantou Gulf Bridge was completed and opened to traffic, creating a technological precedent for modern suspension bridges in my country; in 1996, the "Shenzhou First Span" Xiling Yangtze River Bridge was completed and opened to traffic, and the first suspension bridge on the Wanli Yangtze River... 2020 , Wufengshan Yangtze River Bridge opened to traffic, becoming the world’s first high-speed railway suspension bridge, and China’s suspension bridge is going to the world.
From lagging behind, starting to catch up, and then to the current technology leadership, the Chinese suspension bridge has been shining in the World Bridge Museum for nearly 30 years. As of December 31, 2020, there are 43 suspension bridges with main spans over 1,000 meters in the world, of which 22 are in China. Among the top 10 main spans of suspension bridges in the world, there are 6 in China. There are many bridge spans and technologies in the world Ranked first among similar types of bridges.

The main span of the bridge is 452 meters, creating a precedent for modern suspension bridges in my country, and has maintained many world records for similar suspension bridges in the world.

The bridge is designed to have a main span of 1,700 meters, flying across the Yangtze River. It is the world's largest double-layer suspension bridge and the world's largest highway bridge with the largest traffic capacity. It was completed and opened to traffic in 2019.

The main span of the bridge is 1092 meters. It is the first road-rail suspension bridge in my country. It is also the world’s fastest-running, largest-loading, and largest-span road-rail suspension bridge. It has been opened to traffic in 2020.

The main span is 428 meters, and the main bridge is 61.7 meters wide. Both the span and width are the world's largest bridges of the same type.

The main span is 1650 meters, the completion time: 2009
Zhoushan Xihoumen Bridge is the second sea-crossing bridge from Ningbo to Zhoushan after the Jintang Bridge, and it is also the most technically difficult super-long sea-crossing bridge in Zhoushan's mainland island engineering. The project is 5.452 kilometers long and 2.588 kilometers long. It is a two-span continuous steel box girder suspension bridge connecting Cezi Island and Jintang Island. The main span is 1,650 meters. It is the world’s largest steel box girder suspension bridge and the world’s top ten suspension bridge third. The designed navigable grade is 30,000 tons, the navigable height is 49.5 meters, and the net width is 630 meters. With a total investment of over 13 billion yuan, the Zhoushan Cross-sea Bridge is currently the largest island-land connection project in China so far. The whole project consists of five bridges, starting from the main island of Zhoushan, the fourth largest island in China, passing through the four islands of Lidiao, Fuchi, Cezi, and Jintang, crossing six waterways and the Huihuiyang, to Ningbo Zhenhai. The scenery around the bridge is also very good, comparable to the ten most beautiful bridges in the world.

The main span is 1,490 meters, and the time of completion: 2005
The total length of the project is 35.66 kilometers. Among them, the main bridge of the South Branch adopts a single-hole double hinge steel box girder suspension bridge with a main span of 1,490 meters, which is currently the second in China and the fourth in the world. The maximum navigable width under the bridge is 700 meters, and the maximum navigable height is 50 meters. It can pass a 50,000-ton Panamanian freighter. The North Branch Bridge adopts a 176+406+176-meter three-span double-tower double-cable-plane steel box-girder cable-stayed bridge with a length of 758 meters. The maximum navigable width under the bridge is 210 meters and the maximum navigable height is 18 meters. The entire line adopts two-way six-lane highway standards, with an average bridge deck width of 31.5 meters (driving lane width of 30 meters), and a design speed of 100 km/h.

Modern suspension bridge is a high-tech project with a large amount of technology, reflecting the comprehensive strength of a country's design technology level, experimental testing methods, engineering experience, and industrial processing capabilities. Chinese bridges have achieved a "counterattack" in justa few decades. , Walking in the forefront of the world, worthy of the pride of the Chinese people.

Shandong Machinery Industrial Co., Ltd., as an enterprise focusing on the research and development, production and sales of power tools, has continuously developed and innovated in the power tool industry and improved its own strength level. At the same time, it has also served many high-quality projects and contributed to the bridge industry.

Since its establishment, Shandong OAK has continued to grow and achieved self-leapfrogging, becoming a leader in the power tool industry. In the future, we will also continue to maintain the spirit of striving for first-class, hard work, pursuing excellence, casting fine products, and climbing to new heights.
