Classic Project | Wenzhou Oujiang Beikou Bridge

On April 7, with the successful erection of the 169th cable strand on the downstream side, the main cables of the Wenzhou Oujiang Beikou Bridge (hereinafter referred to as the "Beikou Bridge") contracted by the Second Aviation Administration of China Central Enterprise in Hanzhou were all erected and the bridge construction was completed. A breakthrough has been made. Beikou Bridge is the world's first three-tower four-span double-layer steel truss suspension bridge. The upper layer is the Ningbo-Dongguan National Expressway, and the lower layer is the G228 line (Nanjin Highway). The length of the bridge is 7.9 kilometers, of which the main bridge spanning the Ou River is 2090 meters long.

The project is currently one of the most technically difficult and most complex bridges in my country and the world. The main structure of the bridge includes the south tower, middle tower, north tower, south anchorage, north anchorage, suspension bridge cable system, steel truss girder and bridge deck system. Among them, the South Anchor is the world's first super-large land caisson built in a deep silt layer, with a total weight of 200,000 tons. The middle tower of the bridge is an A-shaped rigid concrete tower, which is the first to be adopted in a three-tower suspension bridge in China.

The implementation of the Wenzhou Oujiang Northkou Bridge project is important for improving national highways, increasing the capacity of the eastern coastal road transportation channel, further strengthening the communication between the Yangtze River Delta, the west bank of the Strait and the Pearl River Delta, and promoting the Wenzhou-Taiwan industrial belt and Wenzhou Oujiangkou industrial agglomeration. District development plays an important role.
